It's lunchtime:
Roast beef on oat and honey bread, with thinly sliced cheddar cheese and just a bit of
German remoulade sauce. Barbecue potato chips on the side. Glass of lemonade. Roaring fire. Good book. Warm feet. Farm pup by my side.
Happy 1/11/11!
I wish I were doing the same....can't get better can it??
ReplyDeletemy fuzzy boots are pink!
ReplyDeleteNow that is the way to spend an afternoon. Warm and toasty.
ReplyDeleteA cozy fire, good food, Roxy baby, and an exciting book -- what could be better? I love that you enjoy your own company as well. That's actually quite rare.
ReplyDeleteHappy 1/11/11 to you too.
What a wonderful way to spend this chilly afternoon. I was out warming up newborn goat babies from a doe that decided to kid early and wasn't in a proper kidding pen! Burrrr! When I get cold out there, I'll think of your beautiful photo and it should help me be warm! :D
ReplyDelete...and Uggs on her feet. Call me envious.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good day.
ReplyDeleteuh, can I have a bite of your sandwich?
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love your photo. And your fire. And your sandwich....

it made me smile. I still want a goat.
Stay warm chica!
that looks a lot more fun than making curling stones! aren't uggs wonderful? i've been wearing them since september i think! so funny that you read about muffalettas and then i posted them. you should try them. they are sooo good! when i used to visit new orleans all the time as soon as i arrived, i went straight down to bourbon street and bought a piece of a muffaletta. they make huge ones and cut wedges out of them. they wrap them in a white waxed paper. heaven!
ReplyDeleteWell, I asked the goatmother for a fireplace, but she said it was ill-advised. Oh, well, she and the goatfather did put up a tarp to block blowing rain and snow today. As long as the Peanuts keep coming, I guess it will have to do.
ReplyDeleteSounds perfectly cozy..and sand..sounds delis!! Went on to read what that German stuff is..and...well its in German..so I still don't know.. sounds good though:) Give Roxy a little hug for me!! Got lots of snow here today..so its all white and pretty..but still looking forward to GREEN and warm..hahah
ReplyDeleteCan I just tell you that I'm sooo envious? :)
ReplyDeleteLinda: They're actually $39 Costco specials, but you may call them Uggs if you like. :-)
ReplyDeletePaula: Yes. I'm a good sharer. :-)
Meadowlark: I saw this! But Reggie's a BIG boy now (seriously), I'm not sure any of those sizes would come close to fitting him now. Esp with his own winter coat on! :-)
What ya reading?
ReplyDeleteYes Ugg boots! Aussie boots! Do you want to know how they got their name... Ugg is a shortening of ugly, and believe it or not it was the 'surfer dudes' that christen them.
ReplyDeleteYou look mighty comfortable Danni.
