An unexpected Chester

Do you have anyone in your life who always, jokingly or not, manages to jump into the frame of your shot just at the precise moment you take a picture? Even if the picture isn't in any way about them ?

I do.

His name is Chester.

And in case you were wondering, according to Chester, the picture is *always* about him.

  1. Well, Chester is Number ONE in my picture any day. It was love at first sight and touch for me.

  3. How can a person not love that cute donkey face!
Around our place it is not my camera but my pockets the critters are after, hoping to find treats. They are spoiled, just the way I like them!

  5. Chester is a sweetie! I mean, you did come out there to spent time with him, not to take a picture or anything, right? According to Chester, your job is to scratch him, and give him treats and attention!

You're really making me want to get a donkey one day, Danni!

  6. Oh yes, I've got one of those as well, although he's a rooster and a little easier to photograph around. So cute!! Love your blog - trying to convince my husband that he really DOES want Llama's some day.....he just doesn't realize it yet.

  8. Well, I mean, how could he not think that..being as sweet and gentle as he is. And so darn photogenic as you can see in the above photos. :-)

Sigh. Look at that sweet, white muzzle. I just wanna reach in and give it a rub.

  10. Chester, what are we going to do with you: The "Divo" of Danni's farm. Sometimes you just have to let them be the center of attention. That's what some critters love..., or is it that you might have a carrot or an apple in your pocket?

  14. Kids are like that, too. I taught preschool and I'd take pictures and have tons of some kids just because they loved to be photographed and others who would hide. Don't always believe the whining by kids how there are no pictures of them, just another sibling. Perhaps they were hiding. I have one that always makes funny faces...some of those pictures just disappear!

  15. I have a camel...and a two year old like that!

Glad to know that 'pansy-assed' isn't unique only to my hubby...maybe its a PNW country-liven thang! Kim

  16. I know I haven't commented in forever. I just had to say that I adore Chester. I want a guard donkey for our farm so bad, and all these posts about him are just making me work harder to convince my husband.

  18. Yes, I do!! And he is a yellow dog, named Soldier. Usually it is his tail that always shows up in some corner of the picture where he is not supposed to be.
