Picture of the Day: Some say I still pout like this..

Do you remember what it was like to be ten and be having the worst life ever? I sure do.

Do you remember what it was like to have an adorable little sister who stole all your attention, just by being so damn cute? Yup, welcome to my torment.

Do you remember what it was like having such a spectacularly hot mother that boys in your second-grade class would transfer their pledges of eternal love from you to your mom once they met her? Oh yeah. Been there. It really sucked.

See what a rough life I had?
This picture proves it.

  1. I feel your pain. I was the mousy, freckle faced, bucked toothed Laura Ingles with Pretty blonde Mary Ingles as my big sis. Even my Mom said my sister was the pretty one and that I would never be pretty. I can't beleive I'm halfway normal.

  3. Oh ya. I'm the oldest of two girls. My sister was an adorable little red head 9 1/2 years younger. My mom was tall and thin with beautiful long red hair. Obviously I'm not over it yet. =)

I don't know my doggy mom. I wish I did. She was either Airdale or German Shepard....Well, I think I'm cuter then her anyway, obviously. ;-)

  6. I had the gorgeous father that all the girls wanted a picture of. Yuck...I thought. And of course the gorgeous, popular sister who was only one year older. When I went to my 20 year reunion all the boys asked about her. I should have taken her. Then she married the rich farmer with tons of acreage......and she doesn't even like animals or farming. Hmmm I guess it hit a nerve:)

  7. How old was your Mom in that photo? She looks like she gave birth to you when SHE was 10 yrs old! Gaah! And you can see her panties through those shockingly white short shorts!

No. I can't relate to having a too hot mother. But I've got my own cross to bear. I was an only child (a lonely life) who had the most wicked (and ugliest)stepmother on the planet.

And even though I didn't have siblings, my parents were so dissatisfied with me that they thought it was important to get foreign exchange students throughout my entire pre-teen and teen childhood, just so they could remind me of what an awful and stupid child I was.

Something ingrained in my brain even now is my parents saying "Oh, it's too bad that you can't be like this exhange student", or, "You should do what that exchange student did" and "Wow, what a wonderful exchange student!" (all while rolling their eyes and giving me dissaproving looks.)

So, yeh, I can relate to having the worst life ever.

But I'm trying to make up for all those bad years now. ;o)

  8. Ahhhhh Sisters! Hmmm. I have 2 of those. Have different relationships with both of them. I remember being jealous of my younger one because she got all the "cool" toys, cute boyfriends, was a cheerleader and she was definetly the baby, didn't get in trouble for anything. My older sister was "Mom" when Mom wasn't there and she still sorta is. I really don't get jealous of her. At this point in my life, I'm not jealous of my younger sister. She just had her first baby and has some catching up to do before I can get jealous again! For now, I'm laughing at all the complaints about having just 1. She does good though!

  9. Wow--what a beautiful family!

My torment was a younger brother who was the captain of the football team, homecoming king, and class president. I still can't figure out where he learned to be so "normal"!!

  11. I just think this post is funny.
Wow, you mother really looked very young and 'hot'...
You look a lot like I looked when I was that age.And by the way you don't look like you 'suffered' .... you look self-assured and content to me.

  12. Ah-hahahahahahaha! The funny thing is Danni, is that you don't hear all the comments that men - much younger men - make about you. Who is she? She's hot! No she does NOT have 2 sons! Now you have the attention and you don't even know it - isn't that the way it always goes?!

  14. Try having 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Both sisters were older and beautiful. Still are, and I am still younger than them. Pretty good trade off. Great picture.
