Brought it right to my door, he did...

Just like my new farm friend, goatgirl, posted a few days back, I, too, now have a new book to read. Look what my mailman delivered to me today:

Originally, my plan was to check this book out from the library, but, silly me, when I went to get it, found I was 357th (I kid you not) on the waiting list to check it out. (Such is the power of word of mouth about a good book!) Being a bit of the impatient sort, and due to the many positive comments and recommendations I've read on so many blogs, I just couldn't wait that long. And so, a New Year's treat was delivered straight to my front door.

Picture me smiling. :-)

  1. How many years would you have had to wait for this book from the library? It's incredible, such a long line!
I was surprised to see you writing in german in my blog, I understand you are coming from my "neighborhood"!? Die Welt ist doch ein Dorf, oder?
    Liebe Grüße, Monika

  2. Perfect winter reading. I cannot even express how much I LOVE that book. I hope you like it--let us know what you think!

  3. Hi Monika: Meine Mutter ist Deutsche, deshalb manchmal Kommentar von mir auf deutsch :-). Die Welt ist wirklich klein und ich freue mich zu denken, dass du in Wiesbaden nah zu meiner lieben Familie! :-)

Hi Meg...I would be curled on my couch right now with this book if I didn't have all these empty boxes calling out to me to put things in them. :-) I do look forward to discussing it with you!

  4. I have never and will never live on a farm but I want to read this book very badly! Thanks so much for posting about it. I am very interested in a more natural way of life!

  5. I have just started it and am already spouting off things I have read in it to people at work.
I am trying to read slow, so it will last. I even love the cover and yes I do judge a book by its cover.

  6. That is such a great book! I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it.

I ♥ it when you leave a comment.
