Here are a few of my seemingly unrelated happy moments from today....
Waiting for the hummingbirds:
Having my mom drop by for an unexpected visit (and a cup of tea):
Thinking about the package I got in the mail:

...that had a beautiful painting of my sweet donkeys inside:
Spending time outside with Chester and Beau:
Loving that my llama smiles at me:
Watching Beau notice that somebody's coming:
and seeing him go out of his way to make the visitor feel welcome:
The older I get, the more I realize how important these small, happy moments really are...

Gorgeous moments in a peaceful day. The moss at the base of the doffodils look like a fairy garden
Looks like you had a lovely day! Chester and Beau are very cute, much cuter than any of the donkeys around here.
Very Beautiful Blog. And I am not just talking about the photos.
i LOVE the painting!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures and your thoughts. Small, happy moments are the best.
Beautiful posting...the painting of your donks is lovely, as are the real thing.
I can hardly wait for the hummers to come and brighten the vista from the kitchen window. And your last picture is so......springs here.
The Olde Bagg
The framed painting looks absolutely stunning on your wall. I'm surprised you stopped looking at it long enough to write this post.
Mee tooooo....It's really the little things in life. Lately I've been buying real cream to have in my morning coffee, and it's such a perk to the day, no pun intended. :)

Omg that picture of your boys is gorgeous....what a talented artist....i absolutely adore it.
A hummingbird showed up here yesterday! They are late this year. Guess, like goats, they don't like to go out in the rain either. P.S. The goatmother covets your mothers boots. Don't let her near them!
I, not more than a few minutes ago, just said something very similar over at the 7MSN. It truly is the simple pleasures that bring the greatest joy and satisfaction. Kids and animals seem to know that. Grown ups (egad, am I one of those?!?) seem to have forgotten it along the way.
SWEET!!! I love that painting!! What SPECIAL moments YOU had!!We do have to be more aware!!
You are so fortunate that you notice and can 'be' in the moment. Some people go through their entire lives missing out on one of the greatest gifts life presents us with. And what beautiful reminders you have daily of just such moments. You are in so many of my 'moments'.
You are right! Too often we focus on the bad things in life and lose sight of the good ones. I guess we are trained from an early age via newspapers, TV and the like. Great post and thought!
Totally agree with you! It's the simple things in life that make it worth living, sometimes I forget that.
It makes my ♥ sing to see that painting in your home on the wall already! I see the package is not at all roughed up, as I thought it would be - maybe...so all is good!
I find the smallest moments make the biggest smiles. Enjoy your moments!
Danni,
Love this post, as always. I thought of you this morning because I dreamt of these 2 sweet donkeys that came around the corner of a fence, eager to see me, and it made my heart melt. I laughed when I woke up because I have never dreamt of donkeys (or spent time with them) before, and I know your little donkey love fest inspired this dream. How funny is that? :)
Cheers! Teri
I love your Mom's boots! And the fact that she carries a camera!
I love watching hummingbirds, I have a feeder right in front of my kitchen window. You feeder is beautiful.
LOVE this post. We call them magical moments here.
The painting of your boys is absolutely beautiful.
