When Enoch comes to visit

My son and his girlfriend have flown to New York state to attend a wedding and I am grand-doggy sitting!

It took me and this sweet boy, Enoch, about a day to find our routine, but now we've got a good one. Here are the things I've learned will happen when Enoch comes to visit...

When Enoch comes to visit, we play a LOT of Frisbee:

In fact, it is necessary to hide the Frisbee when we're finished playing or the game would never be over:

Actually, the game never is over because I haven't managed to hide the Frisbee successfully yet:

When Enoch comes to visit, I try not to use the hairdryer very often. He doesn't care for it:

Oh, and Enoch prefers a firm bed for his mid-morning nap:

When Enoch comes to visit, he helps me with all my chores, which is a huge help to me:

I find I wake up much earlier in the morning when Enoch is visiting:

And when Enoch comes to visit... we take spontaneous Saturday trips to the Oregon coast:

...which makes everyone happy:

We've learned that when Enoch comes to visit...everyone has a good time!

  3. Is that the pup using all four legs?

Do you remember what that nifty looking floor is that Enoch is napping on? I have putting in wood floors on my list. Thanks.

  7. What a well-behaved granddog you have. And seeing Roxy running on the beach surprised me - never could tell she had that surgery. How wonderful for both of you.

  8. He's beautiful!! Just like grandchildren, granddogs are extremely enjoyable, exhaustingly wear you out, and when they go home you can relax a bit. :-) Looks like he's had a great time.

  9. Great shots of active (in the air!) dogs!!!! :-)

My fave is the one with the ball on the bed, though.

Both of my corgi girls were obsessive retrievers. The shot of Enoch with the ball made me laugh. "You know you want to throw it! It would be really fun!!!!!!!"

    :-)

  16. I was going to comment that it looked like Roxie was still favoring her leg in a few of the pictures but in the later ones she seems fine - how is she?

Chores at your place must be hilarious. You are followed by; 2 cats, 1 chicken, up to two dogs, and if they manage to escape your are, ahem, further assisted by 2 goats.

  17. Danni,

You are the best ****sitter ever! (Insert any critter, kid or adult variety...you make it all fun!)

So good to have a computer again so I can keep up with you and the critters!

    Cheers,
    Teri

  18. Lucky dogs! No spontaneous trips to the Coast for us, but the gang here says wake up time is 6:30-----every morning. Oh, and when Gwandma comes over? Forget the woman who provides them with food shelter and love every day. They love their Gwandma and it looks like Enoch loves his grandma too.

  19. Such grace Enoch has in his leaping for the frisbee . . . or is he leaping for joy? And our dear little Roxy being frisky once again makes me smile!

  23. Great action shots. And look Roxy is running on all four....hallelujah.
Enoch looks alot like my grand dog Odin. But Odin has turned out to be a couch potato at age 8. He lets others do the running.
This post was a real smile fest. Thanks. Linda, The Olde Bagg

  24. Hi Karen Anne: the firm bed (wood floor) that Enoch is lying on is Brazilian Cherry. (FYI: We were not the ones to install it, it was here when we moved in.)
