Without batting an eye
I love it when my mom comes out to the farm.
When I tell her I need some help "doing a couple things", she doesn't hesitate to jump right in:
Even if it means having 60 pound goats sit on her lap while I squirt de-wormer down their throats and trim their hooves:
The goats love it, too, when she comes over. Her lap is an incredibly cozy place to nap:
This is a relaxed goat:
Kai llama loves my mom's visits because she *always* remembers to bring a HUGE bag of carrot coins:
Kai's joy tends to be short-lived, though, once the goat boys show up:
Pushy goats - they think everything's ALL about them:

..which is why she brings a large bag of coins....

Those goat boys are so big now! Great that your Mom helps out on the farm.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! Love the ones of the goats and your mom. So true how pushy they are. Kai almost seems to be saying, "well Mom, aren't you going to do something about this?!"
ReplyDeleteawwwww....your mom is an animal person just like you! how cute that your animals have a grandma!
ReplyDeleteMom's sure are great:)
ReplyDeleteYeah for Moms!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't everything about the goats, anyway? Doesn't the world evolve around them?
Love this post. :) Aren't moms wonderful? Mines coming for Thanksgiving and I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, Danni... I just love your critters!
I envy your relationship with your mom, just a bit. Lovely pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteYou mom looks just like she belongs there,I think the critters would agree!
ReplyDeleteOooh, send your mom to me. I like carrot coins. Just don't tell Abby
ReplyDeleteThat is one indignant llama look in the last shot. Looks like she's saying "Would you get over here and do something about these two, please!"
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when our animal companions are happy & trusting enough to fall asleep in our presence. I love it.
Amazing how relaxed those goat boys are, your mom has special qualities in that they trust her so. Moms can be not only your friend, but helpful folks too. I miss my mom.
ReplyDeletethose two do like to steal the lime light don't they?
ReplyDeleteWhat ever are you talking about? It IS all about the goats. Isn't it?
ReplyDeleteEither Pete and Reggie have grown (the camera does add 5-10 lbs) or your mother is not a large woman.
ReplyDeleteShe must have the magic touch to get them to sleep like that.
Everybody looks so happy. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteIf I lived closer, I'd come and help your mom. What's better than one mom? TWO!! Do you keep your goats and donkeys in an electric fence?
ReplyDeleteHi Genny! The more moms the merrier, I always say... :-)
ReplyDeleteThe goat house where Pete and Reggie live is not enclosed within electric fencing - just standard 4' no-climb fencing. My three "pastures", however, are fenced with 7-strand New Zealand electric fencing. Any time anybody's in the pasture, that is what keeps them in - and the "bad guys" out. :-)
Awhhhh..this post is adorable Danni.. I wish I could have met your mom..she is clearly loved by all on the farm..
ReplyDeleteyou mom is awesome! And it is all about the goats :)
ReplyDeleteYour mom is awesome! You and your four-legged babies are blessed to have her. :)
