Do you have a muse?:
...A certain subject that your camera is drawn to:
...someone or something that you not only like to photograph:
but one that never seems to mind the intrusion a camera can bring?
Someone who is always is your willing accomplice:
...who doesn't mind occasionally being posed:
Or zoomed in on:
Or have their physical characteristics examined:
...in minute detail:
Someone who stands perfectly still at all the right times:
but can surprise you with the speed at which they will suddenly appear behind you:
Somebody who will often just go about their day like you're not even there:
Allowing you to experiment with your camera in whatever way you are inspired:
I do. I've got one of those. His name's Beau:
Awww he is gorgeous!

I want one. After spending ten days at the historic village with two of them I realized just how much I really want one. They are so soft and loveable.
ReplyDeleteHe's lovely! Great photos as usual! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Beau and his eyes. . .windows into our souls.
ReplyDeleteI just love donkeys/mules and yours is such a sweetheart...wonderful photos. What a darling fella. The Olde Bagg
ReplyDeleteI want one!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictorial. Only a talented photographer like yourself can create a series of pictures that generates strong feelings from those who view their art.
ReplyDeleteWow look at those beautiful eyelashes! Me? I take way too many pictures of raspberries. I'm just so entranced by them. Not sure what I'm going to do all winter long! :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems like Beau will be your friend for life . . . Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I'd like that fella.
ReplyDeleteMy donkey is not so understanding.
Awh...what a beautiful guy to be able to photograph :-)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wear eyeliner so effectively!
ReplyDeleteHe's a beauty. Maybe you could get him a gig in a Dove soap commercial, showing all his 101 parts. *smile*
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!

Except for the "Someone who stands perfectly still at all the right times" part, yes. :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I could come and kiss him on the nose.
ReplyDeleteI like the 10th down eyeball photo. You may have noticed that goats are rarely this accommodating.
ReplyDeleteI think Beau is VERY happy he moved in with you! What a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteAnd your vacation looked marvelously relaxing in your previous post. I love the picture of you sidekick sunning on the camper steps.
Love those eyelashes!
ReplyDeletehow did I miss this yesterday?? maybe God knew I would actually need the smile TODAY instead.....
ReplyDeleteawwwwww.......
This post made me feel so good that I found myself smiling... with a bit of a lump in my throat.
ReplyDeleteI think that one has only a few deep connections with certain animals in a lifetime and that we are so blessed when this happens.
It has to be a mutual agreement but the animal is the one who really allows this to happen. Beau is a very special being and your love for him shows in your photos of him.
Thank you for a lovely, profound post. I needed this today....
I love that last picture, the shadows of you and him!
ReplyDeleteXXXs and OOOs to Beau!!!
