I will do whatever it takes - or - How to make new friends, part 2

Yesterday, we saw how Chester the donkey goes about making new friends. Today, I will show a second friend-making method, as illustrated by my pal who has been visiting from Illinois. This method is particularly helpful when trying to warm up an unusually aloof or reserved potential new friend.

First of all, be creative in how you get their attention:

They may appear dumbfounded by your forwardness, but you should remain steadfast and serious:

Realizing that some people** will do almost anything to make a new friend, the aloof, reserved party generally succumbs to the charm:

Making this method, overall, quite successful:

**In this case, my friend, Marcee

  2. Wow I just got caught up with all of your adventures. Don't you just love the redwoods? One of my favorite places. I am so glad to see that you have the llamas and Chester. It looks like Marcee is making friends quickly. What a fun time.

  3. This is a totally fool proof method. Ask ALL my friends. They will tell you. I wear hay on my head all the time.

Just remember tho....and I say this because I almost always forget...and Im a good friend and like to give out reminders...take said hay hat off before you begin fixing dinner. Its much better when you do that. The dinner that is. Not your hair...because normally you will have hat head....Im just sayin.

  4. Is Marcee a fringe benefit of blogging, or did you know her before??
I think I am hoping for some of those long distance friendships like in the high school pen pal years...

  7. So does this mean when I meet Marcee face to face, she'll be wearing chocolate cake on her head?

  10. LOL - That's fantastic.

So, Marcee, do you tailor the head gear to the friend you're trying to make? Say, sushi, should that be the potential friend's favorite food? ;)

  11. That Marcee is so dang clever! I have wondered why she seems to always have M&Ms and Gummi Bears - and so many friends! What a great tip. I'm off to see if I can balance M&Ms and Gummi Bears on my head.....

  12. Little known fact about llamas. They like the smell of coffee on your breath and will lean in for a better smell. The effect is much like receiving Eskimo kisses from them. I'm totally addicted.
