I just have to post this...

Yes, another foot shot. I'll probably never hear the end of it from *certain people* (you know who you are). This is me and Marcee. Sitting in the sun. While everyone else is in the house, probably wondering where we are. Oh, and it's only about 49 degrees out. But still, we've got lawn chairs and it's sunny. And we're together. And I finally convinced her to get some decent farm footwear.

  1. Way to go, Marcee! And I'm glad there's some sun shining down on you! That's probably a rare thing in Oregon this time of year.

  2. Oh! Oh! But you simply MUST go and see the post at Laughing Orca Ranch blog regarding Muck Boots. You blogged about your muck boots without even realizing her challenge! Now you can get the sticker! I blogged about my boots today too!

  5. This was too fun....another spur of the moment activity. Doing some chores, notice the sun, get the lawn chairs, and sit....and sit....the sun moves, we move the chairs, and sit some more. Lovely. It was great. Even better? Not one person knew where we were....

And man, I am loving my rubber boots. Even if I had to bring them all the way from Illinois.

Goatgirl, I know, right. I had to come all the way to Oregon to get a picture of my boots....keep track of the comments, will ya? She should get twice the amount...there are two pair there....

  7. This does it. I'm going to host a post-your-feet throw down! Right after I do today's event. And then mail the boxes. And then get my tooth pulled. And then heal.

    Right after that, I am!

I should just e-mail this comment to you.

  10. It was sunny at your house in the middle of December? Did y'all write the date down on the calendar as a miracle happening?

A girl can't have too many pairs of good work boots! I hope y'all are having fun. :)

  11. I am *so* going to post a pic of my city girl rubber boots...as I am sure with the amount of work they are being subjected to...they won't be long for this earth.

Yesterday was brilliant. We spent the day on The Farm and had an amazing time. The sunshine was so intense. Kind of like it just HAD to shine extra hard because it was December and it is Oregon.

    Yay.

  16. 49 degrees is positively balmy! Tell Marcee she's got cute kids! I agree with her about the black olives... but my daughter agrees with you. If her kids liked them, you guys should make these - http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cream-Cheese-Penguins/Detail.aspx

  17. "Decent Footwear" is my favorite part of the aging process. Sensible shoes? Why yes, I'd love some.

On a whim of misplaced femininity this weekend, I wore a pair of heels to a holiday party. Let's just say I won't be doing that again anytime soon!

  20. Those boots look strangely familiar. Oh yeah. Those are the same boots I wore to my high school prom. Just kidding. They look like mine only minus the chicken poop.
