The stuff at the bottom of the bucket

Dolly llama has become obsessed with the little bits of hay seed and chaff left over in the bottom of the feed bucket after I give the animals their flakes of hay in the morning:

She gobbles up these seeds, seed husks, and tiny pieces of hay as if they were the tastiest delicacy in the world. Look at that mouth. You don't want to ask her for a kiss after she does this or else you will be enjoying these seeds, seed husks and tiny pieces of hay in your mouth, too. I speak from personal experience:

And I'm certain she won't admit it, but I think she is starting to enjoy it when I do this as I'm leaving:

Baby steps.

I do believe that Dolly llama is starting to become friendly! Isn't it cute how each animal has their own little peculiar likes & dislikes?

Please give Dolly a messy llama kiss from Lynn in Maryland!

Maybe she thinks you are saving the best for last, or at least to her it is.

I love watching an animal enjoy her food with gusto. It's fun to see them go after every last bite and appreciating every last bite. That is clearly evident in these pics! Thanks for sharing! And hey, Dolly is no dummy, she knows who is buttering her bread!

Okay, admittedly I'm not usually so slow, but I just got this ... Dolly Llama! Perhaps even THE Dolly Llama! Ha! Ha! Ha! I kill me.

Dolly will get there....as you said, baby steps. Sometimes some baby steps are just smaller than others ;-)

I love that 3rd picture. My kids give me that look all the time--"What! Can't you see I'm busy here?"
I'm glad she's slowly thawing to having you touch her. Whatever works, works. :)

We call that hay dust around these parts. The goats love it too...

Dolly is such a pretty girl. I just love her sweet little face. I bet those hay seed kisses are extra sweet too. I think you're the Llama Whisperer, Danni. I like this post.

What a lovely face she has and how great she is letting you get closer. One step at a time and a bit of that good stuff at the bottom there.

Ok, seriously... I love that Dolly. Really, I do. And, can I just tell you... we were watching a "funniest pet videos" show the other night as we were surfing channels and saw llamas. I instantly knew what was coming (thanks to you) when I saw raised head(s) and ears back... :) They didn't fool us for a second.
