That last shot of the "carrot lovers" is the best. I have only grown orange carrots. Do the purple and yellow ones taste the same as the orange ones do?
I love the last one and oh that heart rock. I am a heart collector and have a lot of those. Our carrots are looking a lot the same. Funny year this year.
You got some bizarre looking carrots there - but the entwined carrots are my favorite! Have you cooked any of those different colored ones? Do they taste orange too? If not, what variety are they?
I'm afraid to pull up our carrots. We've tried for years, and they have always been worthless. But if I knew that even just one of them would look like your last carrot photo, I would go out right now, pull it and roll in the morning dew laughing myself silly! That could be one way to start the day...
Your carrots are wild. Love it! I apparently know absolutely nothing about growing carrots. This is the third summer of nothing. I will have to spend my long, cold winter doing some research. Enjoy your tasty treat!
mmmm...bifurcated carrots. which ones taste the best?
ReplyDeleteLOL. Awesome! I love it when two twist around each other. I also love your dancing carrots.
ReplyDeleteLove all the different colors you got. Did you notice a difference in taste?
I think that is why my kids love to plant and harvest carrots haha! No matter how they look they, they are always tasty :)
ReplyDeleteOh those pics are soooo cool! You could probably submit them to a catalog or maybe even Madame Toussad's wax museum!

ReplyDeleteWell, at least your carrots grew! They may not be much, but at least you have something to show for your efforts.
ReplyDeleteWould those be mutant carrots or just various exotic heirloom types?
ReplyDeleteWhoa!! Genetics gone south...
ReplyDeleteKind of interesting though. Were you listening to Twisted Sister when you planted them?

Snort. I am laughing about these pics. Maybe still laughing about them since you were here even.
