Who DOESN'T like to go to Target??
Roxy, my farm pup, doesn't, that's who.
How did she get here, you ask?
Well....
Earlier in the day, Roxy had to go to the vet:
She was quite nervous:
The vet's office is her least favorite place to be (look at that hangdog expression!):
But it was time for her rabies shot:
Like a good girl, she didn't fuss and it was all over with quickly:
Or so she thought.
The vet cautioned me that even dogs who haven't previously reacted to shots, can suddenly have an allergic reaction to injections. I needed to keep a close eye on her. I also really needed to stop at Target on the way home, but I sure wasn't going to let her out of my sight.
And this is how she, poor little girl, found herself not only in her crate, but in a cart...in Target:
She was very happy to go home:
The girl clearly doesn't know how good she's got it. After all, not *every* dog gets to go to Target.
The End.

I bet I'm the only person in the world who has not been inside a TARGET, we don't have one in this small town. Even Roxy has been in a TARGET.
ReplyDeleteI always have wished that I could take my kitties with me when I go places, (vacations, shopping, restaurants),...but it never works out very well. Too stressful for them and me. Cats don't travel as well as dogs, I think. Much harder to herd.
ReplyDeleteThat little Roxie needs to understand what a treat it is to go to Target. I'm sure she's the only pampered doggie who got such loving treatment and she needs to just "change your attitude" (as I've heard my daughter explain to her kids, often)!
ReplyDeleteHi Roxy! Good job on being such a good girl for your shot. I never doubted you would be any other way.
ReplyDeleteNext time I see you you will have a pretty, new hair cut, I bet. Your mama takes such good care of you.
Next time you go to Target maybe Darby could go with you. Then you are sure to have a good time.
That Roxy sure is one cute little gal. You are such a good 'mom' to her.
ReplyDeleteGood job Roxy! I love your sweet smile!
ReplyDeleteAwwww. That Roxy is SO cute! And she really is smiling in that last picture!
ReplyDeletePlease tell her I know how she feels. I was dragged to Target last weekend by my niece. I had the same hang dog expression on my face that Roxy had at the vet.
I have a great dane who would LOVE to go to Target with his mummies!!!
ReplyDeletePoor Roxy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know how you are about Trader Joes?---My niece feels the same way about Target. When she lived in Hawaii (I know, tough gig)., they don't have Target. One of the first things she'd do when she came back to the mainland was hit Target. She'd marry Target if she could. :)
Oh my goodness, that is the saddest face ever! I'm glad the trip went well, even if her view of the aisles at Target were severely limited...
ReplyDeleteLOL...sweet baby, it could have been soooo much worse, you could have taken her to WalMart! Kim
ReplyDeleteDo they have Peanuts in Target? Surely that would make the trip worthwhile.
