The jammies (and hens) are terrific, but...truly...the boots are all wrong. Definitely we need some creativity in the boot department. I declare, black is entirely too sensible. I recently had a shopping moment online at Target and bought pink paisley rubber boots, and turquoise ones with hibiscus on them, because I was unable to make up my mind. Really, a visit might be in order. They have a divine selection of delightful wellies...
Oh my, no snow! Hooray. Love the Elmo jammies . . . what a sense of humor Jim has. The hens are looking so happy to be outside without all that white stuff on the ground.
Isn't is nice to go out in the yard with Elmo pajamas and not worry about who's looking? Oh yeah, just the whole cyper space crowd.lol.... The chickens are looking good. and I like Elmo too, and Miss Piggy, and the Cookie Monster. Have a great day Danni. Glad your weather is improving.(isn't it?) Pam
Hi 7MSN - that's what makes my day...their delight in seeing me (and the food in my hands) - lol
Hey farmer jen - they were literally standing on my feet - it made me giggle. Silly birds.
Hi inadvertent farmer - Yes, I definitely needed to wait until my kids were out of the Sesame Street stage before I could get away with wearing these. :-)
Hi mim - So true! (and nice that he has a long list, too) lol
Hey sugarcreekstuff - you want i should send you a pair? ;-)
Hi eve - No, those pics were from yesterday, so: YES, THE SNOW IS (almost) GONE...hurray! Only the spots where it was the deepest are there lingering piles...the chickens are as happy as I am - they've got free range in on the property again.
Hey rural writer!! Nice to see you again - how are you? :-)
Hey farmlady - It is great - but I still worry about the UPS or FedEx guys pulling up when I least expect it. lol
Hi claire - this is the burden I carry, I'm afraid...I *love* simple, basic colored boots...however, what I lack in colorful footwear, I more than make up for in gaudy pant wear, don't you agree? :-)
Hi Nancy M - Who can't be made happy with all that enthusiasm that comes flapping out of the coop door in the morning, right?
Hey Mare - thanks!
Now Alan, I'm surprised you hadn't heard about Oregon's tolerance for all things muppet. I could wear these to church and not create a scandal. ;-)
Hi Christy - what's the plan for that, anyway? You getting more chickens, I mean. Are you going to get day-olds in the spring or adults again/
Yo frugal mama - If you happen to find a pair of oscar the grouch thermals, pick 'em up for me, would you? But don't show 'em to G. first or I'll never get them. The chickens are VERY happy to have room to roam and bare ground again...also warmer temps, too!
Hi california grammy - Tell me about it - we've all been doing the bare ground happy dance for 2 days now!!
Hey a bite of country cupcakes - (can I call you ABOCC for short?) :-) - my chickens are my pals! truly!
Hello ga.farmwoman - ah, the cyber space crowd - what a funny bunch we are, too! But I know my secret's safe with you guys. You won't tell anyone I proudly wear puppets on my pants, right? (Yes, snow is almost gone, the flooding is starting to recede and I think we're in for a day or two of fairly boring weather...I'd say that's an improvement!!) lol
Hi lutheranchik - The sound of happy chickens makes me sigh happily and smile!
Hey judy - :-) :-) :-)
Yo farm mom - He asked me to tell you "thanks" and "of course". :-)
Hellooooo gregor - Wouldn't that be funny? Especially if they were the kind that had feet in them. I would never be able to stop laughing. Probably not exactly what my husband has in mind, though, right? ;-)
Danni, you are a mess. :) So, does your hubby think Elmo is hot, or you wearing Elmo is hot? Hey, isn't this supposed to be a family show? Does Aiden read your blog? PS...Tractor Supply has cute muck boots too. I, guess I'm the only one of all your admirers who thinks the black boots are just fine.
Hi ceecee...oh no... :-( why am I a mess? And I don't think we're alone in our love of black boots - I know of quite a few others who proudly don them, too. Now, my summer gardening clogs, on the other hand, are pretty vibrant, if I do say so myself! ;-)

This must be how most people in the country feed their chickens. I am always in my pajamas when I go out there early. But Lucy, my little granddaughter thinks I look like Cinderella because you know she feeds her chickens and they all come running up to her like mine do. Warms my heart that I look like Cinderella to her. Ha ha!
Your chickens look very happy to see you...and Elmo.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about those leggings...You crack me up! Cool chicken photos. It's a good feeling when they all flock around you.
ReplyDeleteROFL...those are actually darling. I couldn't wear them though cause my kids would fight me for them! I bet your chickens think your sylin'!!! Kim
ReplyDeleteFor sure that is pure happiness. Good thing for you Jim's got a thing for Elmo, huh?
ReplyDeleteSo do I!
ReplyDeleteVery funny Danni! Love the jammies!
ReplyDeleteOk is the snow gone or is this an older set of photos??? I hope your snow is gone.
That's too funny, your husband thinks Elmo is hot... what a hoot.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful when you live where you can go outside and feed your chickens in your jammies?

ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday J!!! Hey, that man has GREAT taste!! :)
ReplyDeleteDoes J have a set of cookie monster jammies to match your elmo's? It sounds like you are setting a new fashion trend for morning chicken feeders.

I don't know if elmo is hot, but at least he looks warm!
ReplyDeleteNice jammies, I have some funky ones to but MM threatens they'll disapear sooner or later.
