...a change of scenery.
In my part of Oregon, March brought record-breaking precipitation amounts. We received 8 inches of precipitation in the form of rain:
hail:
...and snow in that one month alone:
Houses were underwater:
So were roads:
Our year-to-date rainfall - as of today - is 18.67 inches. This has made us very muddy:
Straw is our new best friend...:
as it helps to keep our feet dry:
The boys think I need to get away:
They don't have to tell me twice:
I'm very excited. :-)
I see a donkey trip coming. :) Have you been hit with the lovely new blogger interface yet???
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet I know just where you're off to.
ReplyDeleteThat place far south where dogs give smooches, and pigs impersonate country singers, and the ears are mostly long.
I hear she even cleaned house.
Have fun.
Hmmmm those look like mule ridin' boots.
ReplyDeleteI KNEW it! Have fun! Sooo jealous. Hugs for Alan. :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like maybe you are head some where warmer like NM where there are donkeys,a dog, some chickens, a pig, some cats and a horse. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, you are going some place where it is sunny & dry? Have a good time!
ReplyDeleteI agree. You needed to get away! But what about the rest of us? Me? We had the same amount of hail, snow, rain. The blossom at the end of your post is a nice thought, but no consolation. Consider the drops on the purple petals my Oregonian tears.....
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Love the flower pic!
ReplyDeletevacationing..... seems to be the thing these days..... maybe I'll get one soon.....
ReplyDeletesafe travels and we all look forward to some rockin' blog shots!

Boy, do you deserve this respite, Danni !! Just don't let 'her' work you too hard ! :)
ReplyDeletehmmmmmmmm as if we didn't read between the donkey lines. Oma Linda Yipee
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you will end up where you will get lots of donkey hugs?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're heading for some sun and relaxation. I had no idea it had been that wet in Oregon. Hope it will be sunny and dry and that you take plenty of pictures.
ReplyDeleteAch.... you left us hanging and guessing!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear where you got away to. Hey... you could come here. We are way behind on precipitation!
Yeah for getaways!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh MY! That DOES look depressing! Have a wonderful trip and come back rejuvinated.
ReplyDeleteAnd bring the sunshine back with you!!!
Rain...snow...hail! You definitely need some good old fashioned sunshine and I know you're gonna have a great time and come home with a big smile on your face! Enjoy! We'll all be here when you get home.
ReplyDeleteYour soggy critters probably wish they were where you went. That is a lot of moisture, more than your share.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Thats a lotta water.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think George wanted to get away, too. Maybe next time..?
I know you're having a great time without all that mud! I really like your traveling boots. Very stylish!
ReplyDeleteVery cute boots! I was supposed to take away something more than that from the post, wasn't I?
ReplyDeleteWait I want to go too. I live in Oregon and its raining again right now and I am tired of it. UGH!!
ReplyDeleteErika
