Beneath the mulch, the garlic has sprouted! |
Hi.
I'm Danni, the blogger who hasn't blogged since May 31st, 2012 - give or take about 607 days ago. It feels like it has been a lifetime and, in many ways, it has been. But I'd like to not focus on all that for the moment.
Instead, if I may, I'd like to think of this as a "Spring is Coming" post and insert a few current pictures from Critter Farm....not just because re-introductions can be hard, but also because picture taking (and picture sharing) makes me happy.
So - for today - there's this:
Pretty Kai: Boss of the Donkeys and Protector of Goats |
Pete and Reggie |
Honey Chicken, who divorced her flock in 2011, and has since wandered the farm freely, putting herself to bed each night in a dog crate on my kitchen porch |
And Roxy, the perfect farm pup
I've missed blogging and I've missed sharing my critters. See you tomorrow.

Love the banner on the barn! Couldnt read it. What does it say?
Hi Deb!!
ReplyDeleteThose are animal prayer flags for when a beloved pet dies. A friend of my mom makes them and she sent this set to me when my sweet cat, George, died last May.
Thanks for all your happy words today... :-)
O Danni!
ReplyDeleteIm so very sorry you lost your kitty George! Girl, I know exactly what you went thru! In Sept. of 2013 I had to put my sweet Visela Penny to sleep. Diabetic, quit eating. Then in Jan. of this year I had to put my kitty Jack and my big sweet Rottweiler Jiggy to sleep. Jack was 14 and my Jiggy was 11 and had Lymphoma! I still have my breakdowns but getting better! What happened to your sweet kitty George? He was the black and white kitty?
Hugs my friend,
Deb
Viola, KS.
She's back! Good to see you and the other critters again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasure! I've enjoyed seeing you at the 7MSN, but I'm very glad it works in your schedule to post again. I'm happy to see all of the critters at Critter Farm. Wishing you much springtime joy from Indiana.
