...but today is my one year blogging anniversary.
What an incredible year it's been.
And that's all I'll say about that.
So now, here are a few of my current favorite photos.
Games you play with your dogs:
Ooooh, scaaaaary front porch:
What you don't want to find in your chipmunk trap:
Don't tell my mom I'm standing in the middle of the road:
Farm pup faithfully waiting for her master:
A lovely fall harvest:
Donkey with a mohawk:
Ein Apfel:
Oh yeah. A chicken ramp:
Happy Blog-iversary... um, is that a word? Well, you get the idea! Congratulations on a year well-blogged - and I mean that wholeheartedly. Your blog has been a source of fun, inspiration, hilarity, education, beauty, fascination, and firsts - to name a few. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteHere's to an amazing 2nd year of blogging!
Your Fall harvest including your Apfels looks wonderfully abundant! What kind of grapes did you harvest? I love your chicken ramp too.
ReplyDeleteI laughed when I saw the picture of the bird in your humane chipmunk trap. Catching a bird in there is a whole lot better than the scared skunks I usually trap by accident when trying to trap "chicken threatening" possums or "compost pile destroying" raccoons. (No animals have been harmed in process of using these humane traps. Relocated yes, harmed no.)
Happy 1 year blogging anniversary Danni! You, your farm and your blog all rock!
Happy Blogoversary! Cool pictures! Yay for the chicken ramp!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found you Danni girl! I can't believe a year has gone by for you! You've done so much in such a little time! I'll be looking forward to many years of visiting Critter Farm!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and all the critters too!!
Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog. Thank you for sharing your life with the world.
ReplyDeleteHooray for your year! Thanks for blogging, your beautiful photography and making me laugh. I'm looking forward to more of the same and not to mention those German lessons.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHey Danni,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your anniversary! I guess we started blogging about the same time.
The pictures look great.
Farm Pup Roxy looking out the window is just too much. Too cute.
Those ears and mohawk look pretty familiar.lol...
Have a great day.
Pam
I dig the donkey with a mohawk pic...shrek can't be far behind!
ReplyDeleteWell happy blog anniversary to you. We started our blogs at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe games you play with your dogs picture is hysterical. Is the basket next to the door placed there to keep a certain pup's nose prints off the window???
Hey! Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteLol...what the HECK are you doing with your dogs....? They're definitely good sports.
Love the donkey coif and the bounty of farm fresh food.
Happy anniversary! I've loved reading your blog so far. Here's to another great year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggy Anniversary to YOU!!! *cough cough* (far too early for me to be singing.) Looking forward to another year my friend. Oh, and nice ramp! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy one year! It has been fun watching your farm grow!
ReplyDeleteHooray! To a year of blogging. You have had so many great things happen during that time.
ReplyDeleteI, personally, am very happy(utterly delighted, actually) that you started blogging. How else would I have read about earth bread and watched great chicken movies? And then showed them to G, who in turn watched them a zillion times and then made you a movie to thank you for the movie you made him.......(you get all that?)
That said, I love the mohawk...G will love that! And of course, you cant forget sweet, little Roxy. Just waiting ever so patiently for you to come back....I bet she plans ahead to sit there and watch out the window.
Well this is a big deal..., a whole year. Congratulations! Very good work. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. The donkey mohawk is wonderful. I love close-ups of animals.
Glückwünsche auf Ihrem ein-Jahr-Jahrestag! (Are you impressed? :))
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 1 year of great blogging! I'm so glad we've become blogging friends and I do hope that I get to adopt a donk from you in the coming year (or sooner) :) Loved the donkey mohawk and the doggie games. :) I'm really looking forward to reading another year of your great posts.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary blogging! And best wishes for many many more!
ReplyDeleteI bet the Girls are very thankful for the ramp and loved the donk mowhawk.
Happy Anniversary! I, too, loved the photos. That chicken ramp just cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. So glad to be part of your blogging community! I always look forward to what you have to share! ;)~Kim
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Do you have 2 dogs now?!!
What is that white thing looking in the windo at Roxy in the one picture? Is it a chicken? Sorry, no body else has asked, but I'm just curious. lol...it looks like a chicken's head.
Aw, dina...thank you so much...it's been fun getting to know each other through our blogs!
ReplyDeleteHi farmer jen, I do not know what kind of grapes those are...better pull out my Sunset Western Gardeners book again, huh? lol Yes, my chicken ramp rocks. There is NOTHING my husband can't do. :-)
Hi nancy, thank you so much!
Hi eve - I think back to how you reached out to me through my blog - you are very dear to me!
Hey robin (seasons eatings farm) - nice to see you, thanks for the well wishes!
Hello there, incapearl - thanks for commenting and making me smile really big! :-)
Yo sugar c.s. - Had I known you would enjoy the German lessons so much, I would have started this a LONG time ago!
Thank you, goatgirl!!
Hi Pam (ga.farmwoman) - I think you're ahead of me just a bit but not by much - we've talked about this before, but I think yours is the first blog I ever commented on!
Hi warren - I think I'd have to shoot myself if my donkeys started talking to me in Eddie Murphy's voice. lol
Hey 7msn - thank you so much. Did we really start blogging at the same time? I would've guessed you had been doing this for YEARS - I love your blog!
In answer to your question, that basket is my "going out the door" basket - I put things in there that need to go with me when I leave for the day (water bottle, purse, items to return, library books, etc). I always keep that basket there to remind me not to forget my stuff!! Roxy's nose prints don't bother me a bit, as you will see if you ever ride in the farm truck with me. :-)
Hi carolynn - Roxy, as you know, is my pup, the other dog, Schnauzi, belongs to my mom. Our dogs actually enjoy it when we laugh at them, so they are generally quite the good sports when we do silly things with them. Patient, aren't they? :-)
Hey Christy - Thank you so much!
Farm mom - Loved the singing (I could hear it all the way over here) and I thought you might appreciate the ramp. Now, if we could just get your DAD to build one for his gals... :-)
nw nature nut - you've been here with me almost from the beginning - you've definitely been witness to all the changes and additions! now that your mama has pip, this makes us, well, sorta related, doesn't it? :-)
Aw, frugalmom - t'is true...if you hadn't queried on Earth Bread, well, scary thought, but we may never have run into each other. But then, if G. hadn't been so damn cute, I wouldn't have made him that chicken movie and he wouldn't have thanked me and and and...serendipity at its best!
Congratulations to you, Danni. Your blog came to my attention, as you know, because you acquired your baby chicks just a few weeks before my daughter decided to order her flock of 22. And I've been one of your fans ever since . . . You are one of my favorite bloggers, and I look forward to reading each new post. Keep up the fun writing and great pictures, my husband and I enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary! It is so much fun watching your progress. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Oh and I love the new chicken ramp.
ReplyDeleteHowdy farmlady - thanks for the congrats. I shake my head when I think it's already been a year!
ReplyDeleteHi pretty marigold - I am EXTREMELY impressed. Wir sollten weiterhin zusammen deutsch sprechen!
Hey wrensong farm! Why, thank you - and it's funny how people "find" each other via this blogging thing, isn't it? I'm enjoying reading about your farm and farm family, too!
Hey there greywolf - Thanks - the gals are very pleased with their new ramp, although they were not opposed to jumping in and out, either. They are quite graceful! I could see problems down the road, though, when they get a bit older, and then my blogging friends started making me feel like a heartless chicken abuser for not having one, sooooooo....end of story. :-)
Hi pamela - thanks - off all the things to crack you up, it's the chicken ramp that did it, huh? ;-)
Hi country girl - And I feel fortunate to be part of your blogging community! Have you noticed our little world just keeps getting bigger and bigger? :-)
Hallo mellimaus! No, I've only got one dog, Roxy. The other dog is my mom's dog, Schnauzi. Mom needed to help Schnauzi keep her cardboard roll on her nose because it kept falling off.
And how observant you are! That white thing in the window is Mike the rooster's tail. I blogged about my pal, Mike, last November, back when I was still only dreaming of having real chickens of my very own: http://critterfarmgirl.blogspot.com/2007/11/view-from-my-kitchen-window.html !
Hi californiagrammy - You are so sweet - your comment made me feel so good today. I remember your first comments to me about Jennavar...that seems like such a long time ago now! Tell your husband I said "hi" and I can't wait to make his sourdough cinnamon rolls! :-)
Hey there, egghead - Thanks for your all your supportive comments - and for appreciating the chicken ramp. I'll pass your praise on to my boyfriend (aka husband), Jim. :-)
Happy Blogversary! I so enjoy your posts. It's amazing what can change in a year. Something new, every day.
ReplyDeleteHi there, happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteBelated happy blog anniversary! But here in the former East Germany I am eagerly awaiting the next blog (blogchen, bloglein?).
ReplyDeleteI miss Critter Farm and the (human) critters as well. Hope Ian, Pistol, Brownie and the chickies are enduring the Oregon rain with stamina. Roxy is probably snoozing on the couch. Hugs and pets to everyone.
