This is gonna sound profoundly stupid--I didn't know you could really grow celery. Obviously someone does, but it's not something you see in gardens very much. So glad your goat boys got a snack and you got some goatie hugs.
Better not let Bill see this post. He is a celery fanatic. Do you think Reggie would share? I doubt it because he seems to have his eyes closed in total celery rapture.
When I was a kid, I used to walk through the celery flats to meet my dad after work..it was huge, and very wet..there were snakes, and rats in there..was not far from my house actually..just down the gully..There's not many flats left anymore..especially in Michigan..none at all left in my home town..Wow..thats a walk down memory lane..supposedly there are no calories in celery..that you burn more just eating it or something like that..and your boys love it..thats pretty cool..I love it too..very refreshing..and so good with peanut butter:)

ReplyDeleteWow. Maybe I need to eat more celery.

ReplyDeleteGoats eat just about anything including the walls. Aren't they just wonderful creatures?
ReplyDeleteThey do? I'm going to have to try this.
ReplyDeleteHey! Who is that goat???
ReplyDeleteYes, he does, look ay him standing there eating with his eyes closed as if he's dreaming... how cute!
ReplyDeleteI love how animals get so much joy out of the most basic things of life......seeing that gives me great joy!
ReplyDeletethey know what the good stuff is! homegrown celery is the best. mine is still going strong!
ReplyDeleteWe goats here on the Happy Goats Farm do not care for celery. Maybe because we never had any that was home grown
ReplyDeleteSeriously? From your garden? That's so cool. I have a feeling goats like just about everything. That does look like a yummy bunch of celery though.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful celery stalks! I, like Diane, love it with peanut butter. It's fun to see the sweet goats enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteI learned something else new! I didn't know that... we'll have to give it a try with our goats. :)
